Right from childhood we have been taught to figure out things and live based on the opinions of others. This includes society, parents( our first contact), teachers. Society has marked a certain age range to the accomplishment of a particular thing. I am not surprised that the rate of depression and comparison keeps on increasing day by day.
Earlier today, I thought of this exact statement. It's okay, not to have everything figured out. God created you and I as human beings and never human doing. Genesis 1:26, spoke of how God created humans in his likeness and his image. You have what I call the nature of God. The nature of God in you is never dependent on Self but rather in him ( no one knows a clay better than the Potter).
When I was quite young, I remember living with the belief of having everything figured out which was crippled in by fear especially because I wasn't the most brilliant one. This probably led to what I call self-dependence forgetting the place of Grace. Grace is an undeserved and unmerited favour from God. Christ paid the price that you and I can come boldly to the throne of Grace ( Hebrew 4:16).
Grace comes with the acknowledgement that I can lean on him who knows the ending right from the beginning. It gets you off from trying to figure out the next thing when you can hold on to the one who owns the future. It's okay to acknowledge that you are weak, that you are tired. Weakness is never about being powerless but rather acknowledging that you are a human. In your weakness is the strength of the Lord pronounced ( 2 Corinthians 12:9)
I have decided to look up to the hills where my help comes from, my help comes from him who created heaven and the earth and I pray this would be your testimony too.
I pray you find rest in him, by trusting his plan which is nothing but to get you an expected end.
Thank you so much for reading!
Have a blessed week.
Beautiful post. We shouldn’t allow society define who we are rather we must submit to the will of the Father, patiently walking with Him.

ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't put ourselves under pressure trying to figure everything out. We should rather trust in the one who has everything figured out even before we were formed.
Yes!we must learn to trust him. Thank you so much for reading.

DeleteI'm glad this blessed you. Thank you so much for reading.
DeleteThis is a very relatable one. A lot of time when I get asked about what I’m doing right now, I feel really pressured to better say something. Society has put so much pressure on us. It’s time we realized that trusting God is the way. Thank you for this.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sis. Yes! We live to trust God. God takes the glory
