STAY AWAKE!!!

Colossians 4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving

It's not enough to pray, you must stay awake.  I’m quite sure you are wondering what I mean by staying awake. It simply means staying vigilant, staying in tune with the spirit of God.  More than ever, it's important to know that these are days to stay fully awake not in the weariness of our soul but rather launching forth into deeper encounters.

I have carried this burden for so long that in this season , God is doing a lot in just a little time, there's compression of years and the covenant of God would reinforce this new season.

Immediately, I was drawn to the story of David who ruled over Israel. David was a man after God’s own heart but also a man fully awake in his spirit. There were several times we were told in the scripture how David continually seeked  the face of God. Staying awake requires truly seeking God’s face. Moses knew this; when he said if the Lord would not go with him he would go no where. He knew it would take the presence of God to stand in the world full of evil. Evil isn't a man but our greatest enemy which is the devil.

Staying awake requires paying attention to the spirit of God.  More importantly, it's essential for believers to stand still and listen to the spirit of God because even in what looks like silence, God speaks.  The plan of the enemy is to distract us from paying attention to the constant move of God's spirit.

It's essential not to grow weary becoming the journey is still long. We must be fed fat with the manna of God which is his word and in constant watch. I pray that the Lord grants onto us the staying power this season and may all watchers stay awake and get up from the weariness

LET THE PEACE OF GOD RULE YOUR HEART

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

                                        ( JOHN 14:27)

God is peace, no man can manufacture peace. Just before Jesus left the earth. He promised to give mankind peace that cannot be given by the world. In a world full of wickedness, and tribulations, Jesus promised you and I sanity even in prevailing  circumstances.

The peace of God is best known in the midst of raging storms. While Jesus was on the boat with the disciples, there was a raging storm but Jesus never lost  his peace but rather put the storm to a still. Peace is not the absence of storm but rather calmness and stillness of the soul.

The first way to enjoy the peace of God is to set our eyes fixed on God. Fixing our gaze on Christ helps to lay aside every  weight of doubts, worries and anxiety ( Hebrew 12:1). In the scripture we were told of how Jesus often goes to seek God’s face because he knows beholding God is beholding the peace of God.

Trust is a custodian of any relationship. Relationship with God isn’t left out. For the Lord keeps in perfect peace those whose mind is fixed on him ( Isaiah 26:3). Trusting God completely, and trusting his heart helps to keep our mind.

Are you at a point where it seems you are overwhelmed?

Are you at a point where it seems you are losing it?

Let the peace of God rule your heart.

BREAK OF DAWN!

Hi friends,

It's a new month! I'm glad you and I made it to February. I pray we all enjoy the goodness that comes with the month. It's a break of  Dawn! For some, January might have not been the perfect month. It might have come with lot of trials, unforeseen circumstances but it's truly a break of the dawn

Two weeks ago, while going through my normal routine , that seemed to be the word ringing a bell in my heart. Immediately, I thought of how before there's a dawn, darkness seems to rule.

Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning God created heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void;  darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Here from Genesis 1:1-2,  we saw that without darkness, we can't have the break of dawn. Life challenges often squeeze out the best of God down on our inside. Light only prevails in darkness. Without some dark moments we would not get to the bridge of the dawn.

Jesus had the dark moment which was to  go to the cross. He had to bear the cross in order to break into dawn. He was laughed at, he was stoned but he knew the dawn was just a few hours aways. Morning would soon be here. After he gave up his breath, the scripture recorded that there was darkness all over for 3 hours. This dark hour was a supernatural hour. Just like Jesus, it might seem just at the moment you want that cup to pass over you but Jesus held onto the father knowing that in a few hours there would be a break of dawn.

Weeping may endure for the whole night ,but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). In the morning, your uncertainty, anxiety, worry would have a midatouch of God. Morning is here! Can't you see it springing forth already. It's a break of dawn.
