YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR LIFE

The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart, and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.

                                                  Luke 6:45

Your life goes in the direction of your thoughts. As a man thinks so he is. Thoughts are like seeds sown, watered over time then becomes a reality. The outcome we produce daily is dependent on our deepest thoughts. You can’t control your thoughts but you can choose what to focus on. Whatever thoughts we choose to focus on become our reality.

In Genesis 3:1 TLB; the serpent came and said ‘ “Really?” he asked. “None of the fruit in the garden? God says you mustn’t eat any of it?” Obviously from this statement, the serpent answered with ‘Really?” which indicated that Eve had a thought which the enemy dwelled on; probably a question which started as a thought.  Her thought shaped her world view, what the serpent did was to emphasize the thought.

Out of our hearts reside the issues of life.  The reality of a man begins in the mind. What we make out of life lies in our greatest thoughts. You are a reflection of not what others think but what you think because whatever you think becomes your belief.  Today, decide to choose your thoughts wisely.

Have you been dwelling on the truth? What sets a man free is nothing but the truth { John 8:27}. The truth lies in the person of Christ. The biggest strategy of the enemy is to keep humans from the revelation of the truth. He does this by sowing seeds, one of which Is "doubt" as can be seen in Genesis 3:1, "Did God say, " You can't eat from any tree in the garden?". Just like Eve, the enemy comes sowing seeds to stop humans from flourishing in the truth.

A house built on the foundation of lies crumbles but that which is built on the foundation of truth flourishes.

๐“จ๐“ธ๐“พ ๐“ช๐“ป๐“ฎ ๐“ท๐“ธ๐“ฝ ๐“ฎ๐“ท๐“ธ๐“พ๐“ฐ๐“ฑ!

These are some lies the enemy tells us. The devil remains the father of all liars and his agenda remains to kill, steal and destroy  {John 10:10}. You must never get so carried away with life that you forget his agenda.

It's a new week, another great moment to be reminded of the enemy's agenda and more importantly, to stay awake. We have been armed with supernatural strength and power in Christ Jesus to fight diminishing thoughts and beliefs from the pit of hell by dwelling on that which is true.

What are you dwelling on? Your past?, your circumstances?, the opinion of the world?. Fight back the enemy by dwelling on the truth.

Have a fulfilling week ahead!

See you soon.

STAY AWAKE!!!

Colossians 4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving

It's not enough to pray, you must stay awake.  I’m quite sure you are wondering what I mean by staying awake. It simply means staying vigilant, staying in tune with the spirit of God.  More than ever, it's important to know that these are days to stay fully awake not in the weariness of our soul but rather launching forth into deeper encounters.

I have carried this burden for so long that in this season , God is doing a lot in just a little time, there's compression of years and the covenant of God would reinforce this new season.

Immediately, I was drawn to the story of David who ruled over Israel. David was a man after God’s own heart but also a man fully awake in his spirit. There were several times we were told in the scripture how David continually seeked  the face of God. Staying awake requires truly seeking God’s face. Moses knew this; when he said if the Lord would not go with him he would go no where. He knew it would take the presence of God to stand in the world full of evil. Evil isn't a man but our greatest enemy which is the devil.

Staying awake requires paying attention to the spirit of God.  More importantly, it's essential for believers to stand still and listen to the spirit of God because even in what looks like silence, God speaks.  The plan of the enemy is to distract us from paying attention to the constant move of God's spirit.

It's essential not to grow weary becoming the journey is still long. We must be fed fat with the manna of God which is his word and in constant watch. I pray that the Lord grants onto us the staying power this season and may all watchers stay awake and get up from the weariness

LET THE PEACE OF GOD RULE YOUR HEART

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

                                        ( JOHN 14:27)

God is peace, no man can manufacture peace. Just before Jesus left the earth. He promised to give mankind peace that cannot be given by the world. In a world full of wickedness, and tribulations, Jesus promised you and I sanity even in prevailing  circumstances.

The peace of God is best known in the midst of raging storms. While Jesus was on the boat with the disciples, there was a raging storm but Jesus never lost  his peace but rather put the storm to a still. Peace is not the absence of storm but rather calmness and stillness of the soul.

The first way to enjoy the peace of God is to set our eyes fixed on God. Fixing our gaze on Christ helps to lay aside every  weight of doubts, worries and anxiety ( Hebrew 12:1). In the scripture we were told of how Jesus often goes to seek God’s face because he knows beholding God is beholding the peace of God.

Trust is a custodian of any relationship. Relationship with God isn’t left out. For the Lord keeps in perfect peace those whose mind is fixed on him ( Isaiah 26:3). Trusting God completely, and trusting his heart helps to keep our mind.

Are you at a point where it seems you are overwhelmed?

Are you at a point where it seems you are losing it?

Let the peace of God rule your heart.

BREAK OF DAWN!

Hi friends,

It's a new month! I'm glad you and I made it to February. I pray we all enjoy the goodness that comes with the month. It's a break of  Dawn! For some, January might have not been the perfect month. It might have come with lot of trials, unforeseen circumstances but it's truly a break of the dawn

Two weeks ago, while going through my normal routine , that seemed to be the word ringing a bell in my heart. Immediately, I thought of how before there's a dawn, darkness seems to rule.

Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning God created heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void;  darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Here from Genesis 1:1-2,  we saw that without darkness, we can't have the break of dawn. Life challenges often squeeze out the best of God down on our inside. Light only prevails in darkness. Without some dark moments we would not get to the bridge of the dawn.

Jesus had the dark moment which was to  go to the cross. He had to bear the cross in order to break into dawn. He was laughed at, he was stoned but he knew the dawn was just a few hours aways. Morning would soon be here. After he gave up his breath, the scripture recorded that there was darkness all over for 3 hours. This dark hour was a supernatural hour. Just like Jesus, it might seem just at the moment you want that cup to pass over you but Jesus held onto the father knowing that in a few hours there would be a break of dawn.

Weeping may endure for the whole night ,but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). In the morning, your uncertainty, anxiety, worry would have a midatouch of God. Morning is here! Can't you see it springing forth already. It's a break of dawn.

CAST YOUR NET!

It's 2021, I’m glad we made it. This seems to be my first blog post this year. It's a spontaneous post because I got the nudge to put this up. I drop blog posts every Monday.

'Cast your net’ that seems to be the word echoing in my heart for the past 3 weeks. At first, all I taught was that maybe this was just a word for me but no, I perceive it's a word in season for all.  Peter and his brother went to the river like they do daily casting their net. It's obvious they are fishermen. They spent all their days trying to catch fishes and it was all to nothing as the scripture recorded:

Simon Peter saith unto them, I go fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

                                 ( JOHN 21:3)

There are two ways this scripture ministered to me;

° SIMON PETER & HIS BROTHER TOILED ALL DAY TRYING TO CATCH FISHES: Here I saw men who are accustomed to relying on their strength. The strength of a man fails them. They did all they could but herein to bring forth abundance they needed supernatural intervention. They had to disrupt their means of relying on their strength.  2021 is a year of divine partnership with God. God is on a lookout for men who are ready to be faithful in little. I would like to emphasize that being faithful in little could mean passing that test, trusting God for the unknown. Come unto me all ye that are of heavy burden and I will give you REST ( Matthew 11:29). It takes resting on the finish work of Christ to truly cast

° SIMON PETER AND BROTHERHAD THEIR  MIND FIXED ON ONE WAY OF CASTING THEIR NET:

John 21:6

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the   side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

In this verse, two things caught my attention,  Peter and his brother had their mind fixed on one way of catching fishes they are like many who stay where God has already moved. They relied on the truth of the past forgetting that the abundance of God resides where his goodness and mercy is.  Hence, its not enough to have net , know the assignment you need discernment to navigate the direction and velocity of the assignment.

Casting your net requires the leap of faith and like I believe a leap of faith is a leap of progress. It's learning to embrace the unknown, learning to trust God admist pain and uncertainty. After Peter and his brother cast their net to the other side they had abundance but It took dangerous / crazy faith to do that.

2021 is full of a lot but in all, It's more important to rest in God and walk by faith.

Thanks for reading! I do hope this meets you where you need it the most.

START FROM WHERE YOU ARE!!!

FRIDAY BULLETIN WITH BOLAJI!

The whole world would be a better place if you and I decide to clean our doorstep .  The world is richer in wealth and knowledge today because someone decided to start from where they are.

ARE YOU READY TO START FROM WHERE YOU ARE?

THREE PRINCIPLES THAT CAN GET YOU STARTED

  • PRINCIPLE OF ONE- PERCENT OF SOMETHING: What gets you on the journey of life isn't the big things but rather the one-percent of the knowledge, habits , investment made daily. The world is construed with IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION ALSO KNOWN AS INSTANT GRATIFICATION but truly no one mount up new ladder in their business, career based on overnight success. The best in various industries have learnt to embrace the one-percent.

  • PRINCIPLE OF CENTRALIZED ATTENTION : Principle of centralized attention  requires moving with full focus. This doesn't mean you have everything figured out but rather embracing the journey ahead with full focus. You are what you focus on.

  • PRINCIPLE OF PERSPECTIVE : As humans , we conceive at the rate of our Perspective. The way you perceive yourself determines how much of an output you produce.

WAYS TO GET STARTED

° HAVE THE HARD CONVERSATION

Leadership is a conversation. Many make the mistake of thinking they can converse with others when they have not learnt to converse with themselves.

As humans we judge people base on their act and judge ourselves base on intention. Having the hard conversation would require judging ourselves based on our act rather than intention.

Leadership conversation starts with you.

° MIRROR YOURSELF: Many of us compare  ourselves with other people because we have not learnt to mirror ourselves. The test of mirroring requires you to grow daily from where you are.  The competition isn't with any other person but rather to become a better version of yourself.

° UNMASKING YOUR LIMITATION:  What you do not confront, you don't conquer. It's important to confront your limitation which begins with having the right mindset. Limitation remains one when we fail to acknowledge it.

° EMBRACE YOUR DIFFERENTIATION: What paves the way for you is your DIFFERENTIATION. You thrive where your difference lies. Anyone can invent but few people innovate. Invent is to create / design a new mechanism, Innovation on the other hand is to revolutionize, here it moves from a mechanism to a VALUE.

To make 2021 better, you must be determined to start from where you are.

CROSSING THE RED SEA

In few weeks, we’d cross over into 2021. It's such a delight to know God remained faithful regardless of the towel 2020 threw at us.  The faithfulness of God isn't depicted just in the material but the very breath of life which signifies his awesomeness. Remember he has come to give you and I an abundant Life.

Many are at the point of crossing the red Sea, I remember I found myself just right there 3 months ago. WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE RED SEA AT YOUR FOREFRONT?  The journey to the promised Land was never meant to be trial free but God promised to fight for them. The battle is never ours but of the Lord for the Lord is ever waging war to every giant or red Sea just on the path to the promised Land.

2020 surely came with the unexpected but in the unexpected is the glory of the Lord  uncovered. We got the blessing, he took the glory. 3 months ago I remember the word of the Lord to me was that 'THE RED SEA IS THE WAY’.  That sounds quite weird to me but I was taken back to the book of Exodus when God never allowed the Israelites to go through the shortest route because they were not prepared to encounter the hostility of the Philistines instead he had them go through the RED SEA which is the way. ‘For God said, ‘If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.’  So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.” (Exodus 13:17–18)’. Just like the Children of Israel, we probably want the shortest route to get to our destination to get that healing, to get promoted, to get to that position but God knows what you and I don't know. He has a plan. The shortest route isn't the way because God has a better plan. The three months for me taught me to see the way parted just at the red Sea.

At the crossing of the red Sea, it was obvious that God led the Israelites in there but PHARAOH was like a bone in the neck. He obstructed them but God showed the Israelites the revelation of THE TRUTH. ‘You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free - John 8:32’. While crossing the red Sea just like the Israelites it's obvious many started doubting and murmuring but God wasn't just interested in getting them to cross the red Sea but also making them behold the truth. The truth is a person which is CHRIST. God never wanted you to just get that healing, that promotion , get that heart desire but he wanted you to live not in demand for the miracle but being the miracle.

You are probably at the cutting edge at the moment and just like the way the edge of a sword looks like it looks rough but because of its roughness its usefulness is more pronounced. It can cut better. At the crossing of the red Sea, the Israelites also saw the cutting edge but depicted it as Moses wanted their death but didn't see that the rough moment was shaping the path along the promised Land. The moment shaped their world view, their view of God from  just being a provider but instead a God that exists even before all things exist.

We made plans in 2020 but it seems we had to cross the red Sea. Why? THE RED SEA IS THE WAY. 2020 is never a waste because what might seem to be a waste was just BUILDING MOMENTUM FOR THE NEXT. It looks like a cycle but it was a RECYCLE. Why ? That you may take the BLESSING AND GOD GET THE GLORY.

Thank you for reading!

Today, I’m more grateful for you and for still being in existence till this moment because your EXISTENCE MEANS your ENABLEMENT TO LIVE THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST.

I wish you all the blessing that comes with the rest of the year and also pray that you enter into greater significance and relevance in 2021.

Thank you!

HOW SHALL THIS BE?

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
                                          LUKE 1:34 ESV

In the dictionary of God, impossibility with man equals possibility with God.  God never slacks with his promises and in his unchangeable nature, he changes and breaks protocols.  Are you at a stage where all you seem to ruminate over is ‘how shall this be’? Mary had the same thought when she was told about conceiving the king of Kings.  Unlike men, Mary understood that the question wasn't that of a man to answer but of the Lord. Luke 1:38a KJV;
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. Mary asked a question but never questioned the possibility of God.

In certain areas of life, we are often thrown this exact question just at the phase of a shift.    Mary had that moment too but never doubted the word of God. Doubting is of the flesh; it is often construed in sight.  Mary walked in faith understanding that what God cannot do does not exist. To man it's impossible but to God impossibility is where his glory is being shown forth.

2020 probably draws many of us back to this same question where it seems we are on the same  spot and doesn't seem we are moving at the moment but recently I thought of this. Probably God isn't trying to get you to move but rather build the right posture.  Mary had the right posture as she received the word full of humility.

DO YOU FEEL LIKE GOD IS DISTANT?

Hey friend, welcome back to this series. I’m so delighted to have you back. This series would run for some weeks. I believe God has started a new thing and he is surely bringing it to completion.

PART 2

TRUSTING GOD ON A NEW LEVEL

The term 'TRUST’ isn't a new word but in our Christian journey there's always a demand to trust God on a new whole level ( Proverb 3:5).  Life throws lots of storms and winds which often have us to release a new level of trust in God.

Last week, I remembered the exact words of my younger Sister, ‘maybe God wants you to trust him on another level’. This word rang a bell in mind and felt like I haven't heard such words in years.

It's easy for us to sing the popular hymn 'TRUST AND OBEY’. THE REALITY OF YOUR TRUST IN GOD IS MADE KNOWN WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART.

Trusting God is never of the flesh.  Trying to trust God in your flesh would only make you feel God is distant. Trusting God is of the spirit.  It takes being in the spirit to hold onto the word of God. We live by the word of God and not by sight ( Hebrew 11:1).  Walking in the wings of the spirit helps to see the way God sees. In the scripture, when we think of trust , Job and Father Abraham readily come to mind.  Job trusted God even when his whole world crashed. He trusted God because he never relied on his own strength and understanding to do so.

Trusting God atimes would have you look foolish to the world as  Jesus was looked upon as foolish. God would never call you to what makes sense but rather what  makes faith. At every new season there's always a demand to trust in a whole new level. God's faithfulness is revealed day by day and often it is seen in circumstances and situations that would have us grow not just in grace but also grow in trusting God.

Are you in a place where it seems like your world has fallen apart?

Are you in place when it seems like you don't even know what the future looks like?

Are you in a place where you feel unloved ?

Are you in a place where it seems like 2020 came with a whole lot more than you can handle?

God is for you and never against you….all He might be asking of you maybe 'MY DAUGHTER,/ SON CAN YOU TRUST ME ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL?’.

Thank you for reading!

TRANSITIONING IN LEADERSHIP, BUSINESS AND CAREER

 Hey friend,

Welcome to the transcription  of today's episode from ELEVATE YOUR CAREER PODCAST.

You can get to subscribe by using the link right down to catch up on the audio.

Today, I came with something new which is TRANSITIONING IN CAREER, BUSINESS AND LEADERSHIP

The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is FEAR AND THE OLDEST FEAR IS THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

                        -LOVECRAFT

Everyone wants change but few are ready to put in the work/ demands that come with change.

Change is SITUATIONAL. Transition on the other hand is PSYCHOLOGICAL. It's not those events but the inner reformation or self-definition that you have to go through in order to incorporate change in your life, career, business and leadership without transition, change is just like a rearrangement of previous shackles unless transition happens change won't work.

More than ever, Pandemic round the world has called many to transit right from their perception about life, how work should look like, how to lead a large number of teams.

The demand for change won't be complete without TRANSITION. As humans our whole life is a story of TRANSITION. We are always leaving one chapter to the other. The pandemic caught many of us unaware but we have had to transit along with the change. Hence, adopting the new normal. Many have learned to work right from home and even many have had  to see technology as a magnet which is significant to change in all industries. Change can only be led when we PROMOTE AND ADOPT TRANSITION

Transition is not solely on the event but a reformation which is right from within. Complaining about change rather than adopting only leads to settling for less. As changemaker, the first is

IDENTIFY THE TRANSITION:

This is done by going through the track record of the change. Right now, many have been forced to work from home and the question has been whether WORK FROM HOME ( WFH) OR WORK FROM OFFICE IS THE BEST. The transition is moving from working from office to see colleagues, friends, having board meetings and now to virtual experiences

ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

The world would be a better place when we learn to ask the right questions. Change is here and the question is how to evolve with the change.

HOW TO NAVIGATE TRANSITION

  • ARTICULATE YOUR VISION: Vision is the outlook of a destination. I love to use the  illustration of an hourglass to describe what a vision is. Hourglass comes with the top and bottom. The top of an hourglass is well-filled with an outlook of a destination, the journey is the steady and sloppy fall of the outlook which has been seen down into the bottom. Articulating your vision by constantly reminding or sharing the vision with the team keeps you firm on the vision. Several organizations , companies and businesses like COCA-COLA have had to go through transition but we must have noticed their evolution overtime has never cost them their vision which is to make people feel good.

  • BE OPEN-MINDED: Transition or shift begins in the mind. Being Open-minded like a child helps to navigate transition. Open to feedback, open to criticism, open to new change with a prepared mind helps to navigate transition.

  • ADOPT CHANGE BY STAYING POSITIVE: Without change, our life will remain dull. Having to do things or perceive things in a way only promotes dullness. You may not seek for change but when it comes accept it as a challenge to a new world view. To elevate in your career, leadership change has to happen and often demands leaving a chapter to another or leaving the known to the unknown.

  • PROMOTE YOUR STRENGTH

Your strength is not what you are good at but rather what strengthens you. We all have been ample with  strength in certain areas. Transition often demands the need to promote your strength. If you are experiencing transitioning in your job, career or business the demand should be placed not on what you cannot control but what you can control which is your strength.

  • COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION

Communication isn't just made but must be effective. To navigate transition in business, career and leadership, it's important to use the constructionist approach by asking the right questions. There's always a support system out there to help you navigate the seen transition of the moment.

Finally, transition comes, it isn't just a question of transition is here but learning to navigate transition.

CLING TIGHTLY TO YOUR BELIEF

Hey friends, how have you been? It's been a while, hence I have decided to pour my heart before we continue the series.

This morning I thought of this . Have you ever been on a train? If yes, great and if no, we are still on the same page. If you have been on a train you must have noticed how wind rages and here is what I have noticed. No matter the raging of the wind people often hold closely to a rod just for support.  Oftentimes this wind moves them to and fro and even then they still hold tightly to the rod.

What wind is ranging in your life at the moment?  Just like the train, what rod are you holding onto? Here, the rod is symbolic to your FAITH/ BELIEF ( Hebrew 11:1).

At some point in life. Life comes as a raging wind. Like the wind in the train, God often uplift us with a rod which his WORD. What keeps you going in the midst of the wind is the WORD ( Psalm 119:114).

When challenges arise God isn't asking us to be quick to figure things out but to cling tightly to his word. This week seems to be a very challenging one for me. While in the storm it looked like there was no hope but I remember the word of God to me 'BOLAJI, YOUR HOPE IS FOUND NOT IN THE WIND BUT IN THE ASSURING WORD OF GOD’. You may ask? Did it work? Yes, it did. At every point where it looks like a wind, there is often a demand to trust / hold clingy to your belief in another level.

What are you holding onto? THE ASSURING WORD OF GOD OR THE WIND?

I'm super excited to be back after a 3 week break. Watch out for the continuation of the series next week.

DO YOU KNOW GOD, BUT FEELS LIKE HE IS DISTANT ?

Hello friends,

Today, I would like to thank you for your consistency. It was led in my heart to start this series 'DO YOU KNOW GOD, BUT FEELS LIKE HE IS DISTANT? ‘. Don't miss any of this series. Also, I have another good news. I have decided to share more contents here on this blog on leadership and my lifestyle starting from the month of October. We are sure to have a good time.

PART 1

Someone said this yesterday, 'I know God, but it feels like he is distant’. I couldn't but write about my journey in Christianity which is still much of a work in progress.  Have you ever found yourself asking this question, is he really for me or against me? Don't beat yourself down.I was once there. Challenges of life throw this question even to the most strongest in faith.

Knowing God  is a REVELATION which is deeply seated in his love for the WORLD. Here, I mean not just his love for the world but his love for you. Not a crowd but rather an individual. You might ask how you fix your gaze in a waging storm where it all seems like he is silent.  God's silence has a deeper meaning which often signifies REST ( Matthew 29:11).

Season comes, season goes. I remember years back, there was a particular season I felt was God really for me?  Why would he have allowed this? All I did then was questioning and not asking the right questions. When life throws lemon, what humans do often isn't to ask God questions but rather questioning him. It was quite a huge season for me but here is what I saw even after questioning, there's a way He comes comforting me, at times through his WORD, at times through PEOPLE. Here was when I understood that trying to know God in a spectacular way makes us think he is distant.

Psalms 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

God isn't human and that's why he uses the foolish things to prove to the wise that he is God. Knowing God isn't a feeling but trusting his words.

Looking for the spectacular only gets us far away from God. Knowing God is having a relationship with God. Not like the way the world knows him but the way he chose to be revealed to you.

LEAN ON GOD, NOT YOUR UNDERSTANDING OR WISDOM

Proverbs 3:5-6 ( KJV)

[5]Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

[6]In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Yet a familiar scripture but  this struck my heart today.  Trusting God means to totally surrender. Like a little child who is totally dependent on his parents. With his curiosity the little child never subject to previous knowledge.

Here in the scripture, we are to lean on God, not the wisdom or the understanding as the devil is a roaring lion running to and fro always seeking for who to devour.  When the enemy tempted Jesus it was obvious he never relied on his knowledge but rather on God.

David, a man after the heart of God though had won the first battle he fought with the AMALEKITIES still decided to wait on GOD by choosing to LEAN ON GOD AND NOT THE PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE OR UNDERSTANDING.

When worried, I realize that oftentime the FOCUS CHANGED FROM GOD TO THE PROMISE. THE TRUST IS IN GOD NOT THE PROMISE

TRUSTING GOD IS ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THOUGH HE SLAY ME YET WILL I TRUST HIM

WHOLENESS-WINNING FROM INSIDE OUT BOOT CAMP PREMIER

DON'T PLAY THE VICTIM

Situations of life often push many into playing the victim game.

Here I would say, STOP THROWING THE SELF-PITY PARTY

A victim is one who is considered  to be in disadvantage of a particular situation or circumstances. It's okay to want sympathy, the pleading and probably a shoulder to cry on but not with the DEFEATED MINDSET whether it's a loss of job, loss of a loved one but rather CHOOSING TO ARISE.

JEREMIAH 29:11

FOR I KNOW THE THOUGHT I HAVE TOWARDS YOU, SAITH THE THOUGHT OF PEACE, AND NOT OF EVIL, TO GIVE YOU AN EXPECTED END

*THE THOUGHT OF GOD ISN'T TO MAKE YOU A VICTIM BUT RATHER A VICTOR*

2 WAYS TO MOVE FROM VICTIM INTO A VICTOR

. GROW THROUGH LIFE AND NOT GO THROUGH LIFE

Sam Chand said in his book  called LEADERSHIP PAIN

*You'll only grow to the threshold of your pain.*

Pain isn't age centric. You will have to go through pain in one way or the other but difference lies in the MEANING ATTACHED TO IT. CHOOSE TO GROW RATHER THAN PLAYING THE VICTIM GAME.

. DON'T FOCUS ON THE SYMPTOM, KILL THE DISEASE

When life throws the unexpected oftentimes, we allow emotions to take the best of us which often leads to

¶ Unwholesome thoughts

¶ Unhealthy Behavior

¶ Devastating Actions

The symptoms is focusing on the emotions rather than the patterns that led to the particular situation.

With Christ, we own the power to live in his fullness and not  circumstance or situations

LIVING SACRIFICE

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship

                                        Romans 12:1 ESV

God created men to worship him in spirit and in truth.  Worship doesn't stop with singing but that all we do glorify him.  Living Sacrifice is totally sold out to God. We could see from the Old testament how Isaac was laid down for a sacrificial offering; that's a symbol of a living Sacrifice. Sacrifice is laying aside wants, desires and reaching onto the glory of God. It's called Sacrifice because you truly desire it but does it delight the Lord?

Sacrifice at times  is getting out of your comfort zone, getting out of the known. Abraham, the father of faith showed what a living Sacrifice is.

True Sacrifice is trusting God blindfoldedly. Humans love to figure out things; the next move, the next relationship, the next job but at times all he is saying is to fix your gaze on him. Abraham left the known for the unknown. He sacrificed his immediate want for a glorious one unlike Jonah who chose his immediate want.

Sacrifice is serving while in pain. Sacrifice is serving in your weakness. Sacrifice is serving while waiting. IT'S CALLED SACRIFICE BECAUSE ITS RENDERING AN OFFER THAT IS NOT COMFORTABLE. Sacrifice is when you totally die to self and understand that you are hidden  with Christ in God. ( Colossians 3:3)

Years back, I remember having to choose between what I want and who I would become. It was quite difficult because at that moment what I wanted seemed to be the end of it but the truth lies in the fact that Sacrifice comes with obedience. It's no longer a sacrifice when situations and pressure get it out of you. The big factor of Sacrifice is an Obedient heart.

More than ever, God seeks for a sacrificial heart. Those who are ready to go when he says to Go. Those who are ready to pay the price.

Are you a living Sacrifice totally dead to the pleasure of the moment?

CAN GOD TRUST YOU?

I woke up with this question in my heart “CAN GOD TRUST YOU?”. Most times, we pray for the grace to trust God but probably haven’t asked the question above.

Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you urged me to harm him without cause.”

                                     JOB 2:3 NIV

Here, it was evident that God vouched for Job. Job was human but still God trusted him. God saw his heart and his  intent. God saw that it wasn't about what he had, but who he had. It was so clear that Job understood that it all starts with God and also ends with him.

Another, person in the scripture that readily comes to mind is DAVID. God called David a man after his heart ( 1 Samuel 13:14). David had his weakness but God still called him a man after his heart. Not because he was the holiest but his readiness to always go back to the throne of grace.  God exalted David because of his humbleness.

True heart is always known in trying moments. Jesus was identified as the son of God when he was  baptized by John, the Baptist. The devil came along the line to test him. Jesus didn't only stand the test but also conquered the enemy. Anyone can raise hands when all is well but a sudden change in situation, then the true heart of man is revealed.

For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth , throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on the behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward him.

                              2 Chronicles 16:9

My question remains this; CAN YOU BE TRUSTED BY GOD?

Thank you for reading!

ARISE AND SHINE!

For he creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.

                                     ( Roman 8:19 ESV)

More than ever, the Lord is calling for the rising of his sons and daughters. Christ is the light of the world and being  in Christ makes you a light.

This light isn't dependent on competence but rather the willingness to go, the willingness to embrace the uncommon, the willingness to embrace the unfamiliar.  The world is groaning to see you stand up. To rise and take up the

baton and run the race set ahead of you with patience and endurance.

You have got all it takes. In Christ, you have all that pertains to life and godliness and the calling forth isn't limited to the pulpit but to all the sphere of influence. You are a light and have been created to be a voice. A voice to the world, a witness for Christ.

He has taken you through the wilderness. The wilderness didn't kill you. You didn't just survive, you thrived. He didn't allow you to settle because of the many waiting to see you breaking the norms and the standards of the world.

The standard is Christ. Yes! Christ. He paid it all that all men may be subject to the dictate and the lordship of his father. You are a light, you are dead to self and now risen with him.

Abraham left his Father's land  for the unknown

David stops being a shepherd of sheep to become a king.

Now, is the time to sit at his feet and arise. Arising to the newness of his system, Arising to the newness of his power.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.

And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising

                                    (Isaiah 60:1-3 ESV)
